Be a good game first.
The adventure, freedom, and challenge must stand on their own. If the educational label is the only reason to play, the design isn’t finished.
Our philosophy
We believe a game should be worth playing before anyone calls it educational. The learning belongs in the decisions, discoveries, and “I figured it out!” moments.

A town runs short of water. A delivery route gets tangled. A machine stops because one step is out of order.
These are invitations to think. The player can observe, change a plan, and see a different result. Knowledge has a job to do inside the world.
Our aim is to make that process enjoyable enough that players want to return—not because they have another worksheet to finish, but because they have another idea to try.
Our design compass
The adventure, freedom, and challenge must stand on their own. If the educational label is the only reason to play, the design isn’t finished.
Use a budget to build a town. Use geometry to make a structure fit. Use logic to bring a machine to life.
A setback should offer useful feedback and a path forward. Experimentation needs room for mistakes.
Reward creativity and thoughtful tradeoffs. Give players the agency to build a solution that feels like their own.
Offer unfamiliar challenges that call on familiar skills. A fresh situation gives players a reason to adapt what they know.
Our vision for Skill XP
Time spent in a game doesn’t tell the whole story. Our planned Skill XP system would recognize what a player demonstrates through decisions, designs, and solutions.
We envision a shared profile across future games, connecting progress in financial literacy, engineering, systems thinking, and more.
Skill XP is a concept in development. It is not currently available, an accredited credential, or a guarantee of real-world learning outcomes.
Encounter a concept and put it to work for the first time.
Use that skill in increasingly varied situations.
Solve more complex problems with less guidance.
Adapt the underlying idea to an unfamiliar problem.
For players. For families. For learning.
We’re committed to nonviolent gameplay, meaningful choices, and progress earned through play. We reject gambling mechanics, loot boxes, pay-to-win systems, and spending pressure aimed at children.
We want parents and educators to understand the thinking behind the play. Future reporting and learning tools remain part of our long-term vision, not features available today.
